The Leg Press Calf Raise is a lower body exercise that primarily targets the calves. This is an isolation exercise which is well suited to beginner lifters.
- In a leg press machine, extend your legs until they are straight, then shuffle your feet down so that your heels are hanging off the bottom of the platform.
- Press on the platform using your calves and raise your heels as high as possible.
- Slowly lower back down until your heels are below the platform and your calves are fully stretched and then repeat.
