What is this Calculator For?

This calculator is used to improve your initial nutrition targets and find your maintenance calories – the exact amount of calories you need to eat each day in order to maintain your current body weight. Once you have your results from this calculator, head straight to the Weekly Nutrition Calculator to use them.

The nutrition targets from the Initial Nutrition Calculator are a great estimate of how many calories you should be eating but due to natural variation from one person to another, they will not be 100% exact. This is where this calculator comes in!

What Will this Calculator Do?

  • Weight has remained constant over weeks 1 & 2 – No change to calories
  • Weight has increased over weeks 1 & 2 – Decrease calories
  • Weight has decreased over weeks 1 & 2 – Increase calories

What do I Need to Input?

  1. Select Units – choose your preferred units, either kg or lbs
  2. Initial Body Weight – your body weight at the start of this training plan
  3. Current Body Weight – your body weight currently
  4. Initial Daily Calories – the number of calories you have eaten each day for weeks 1 & 2
  5. Initial Protein Intake – the protein intake you have eaten for weeks 1 & 2

Note: If you have not been accurately tracking your body weight, just stick with the initial estimates for calories and protein intake and go straight to the Weekly Nutrition Calculator.
