Alternatives.
- Leg press
- Smith machine hack squat
Technique.
- Hold a kettle bell in front of you against your chest and lean against a wall with your feet in front of you (approximately half a metre) and position your feet shoulder width apart.
- Squat down and slide down the wall by bending your knees until your thighs are parallel with the ground, keeping your weight over your heels. Keep your core tight and make sure not to round your lower back, especially at the bottom of the squat.
- Push through your heels back up to a standing position, keeping your knees over your toes and abs contracted throughout.
