Key points:

  • The programme will get more difficult as your calories get lower
  • It’s important to deal with it so you don’t feel hungry
  • Concentrate on quantity of food and choose foods that are less calorie dense
  • Our top tips to avoid feeling hungry on lower calories:
    • Drink plenty of water
    • Eat plenty of colourful vegetables
    • Eat plenty of fibre
    • Eat protein in every meal
    • Avoid high calorie junk food (e.g. biscuits, bread, toast, cakes, chocolate, sweets)
    • Choose lower calorie options
    • Overall – more food volume
