WEEK 3 Train – Making it “hard enough”
Key points:
- To make sure you are working hard enough in your workouts, focus on the following factors in the order given below:
- Form – perform exercises with correct form and full range of motion
- Tempo – a slower tempo will bemore difficult than a fast tempo
- Weight selection – use a weight heavy enough to challenge yourself
- Training at home comes with a number of limitations
- Lack of equipment means the amount of weight you can lift is limited
- No gym staff to make sure you are safe and training correctly
- Grip strength
- You may be limited on some exercises by your grip strength
- If you have problem with grip, you can use a set of lifting straps
