[fusion_text]“I started the Train Eat Gain plan 6 months ago because I was training hard, running three times a week, lifting 2-3 times a week and yoga on my day off but I wasn’t seeing the result I wanted! I had gotten to a low weight in the July before and the scales hadn’t moved since, it didn’t matter how little I ate or how many more miles I ran my body wouldn’t change any more. When I saw the plan I thought what have I got to lose, what I’m doing now isn’t giving me the results I want so I might as well try something a bit different.

I can honestly say it was the best thing I’ve ever done and I feel so much happier and healthier. [fusion_text]“I initially started with TEG after moving a long way from my training buddy. I was doing my own stuff in a new gym and was mainly back to cardio, I was not confident without my buddy leading the way.
“A couple of months after I moved and seeing no change, putting weight on over Christmas, Steph tagged me on the cc2015 challenge . I read through and thought, I can’t do this, I am not fit enough. I had years of struggling with weight and hating having photos taken, never dreamt I could have photos of me in a bikini and not feel ashamed!

[fusion_text]”I began as a New Years resolution to lose weight in preparation for my best friends wedding and my partner returning from a 4 month detachment in the Falkland Islands. I’m sure you know the success rates of New Years resolutions.. averaging about 3 weeks before its given up, but TEG was introducing me to a new lifestyle and a new way of approaching fat loss, not weightloss, which was new and refreshing.
“Week after week I was feeling stronger and tighter, the number of the scales barely budging, but I started to notice my trousers feeling looser and my belt needing to be tighter. Great! Two months down the line and I won the transformation of the month, and suddenly everyone wants to know what I was doing to get fitter. Hard work, weights and eating right along with the amazing service Rob and Ben provide are a winning combo and anyone can see that.
“I think this is the first time in my entire life I’ve stuck to my New Years resolution for so long, and I reckon it’s all down to the #TeamTEG family that’s been made. I’ve started a new job and moved from one side of the UK to the other and been away from my partner for 4 whole months and TEG have been right there alongside me pushing me to stay motivated and keep me on course.
“6 months in and although I’m not at my target quite yet, I’ve definitely changed in mind and body. [fusion_text]”I started TEG in January 2015. I had been working out for 2 years or so previously, so already had some knowledge of weight training. I had lost around 50lbs from a mixture of home workouts and free weights in the gym, but I felt in a bit of a rut- my strength had plateaued and I couldn’t seem to drop the last few inches I wanted.
“I really wish I’d taken better photos at the beginning of the plan, as the changes I have seen in my body are crazy! I’m so proud of myself for overcoming so many obstacles and barriers. I feel energetic (most of the time!) and my mindset is clearer. I have a much more positive outlook on life and rarely suffer from depression now. Although I feel like my body is constantly a work in progress, I’m happy with it. I have worked with many people who are not as fortunate, so I don’t take my health for granted. I am amazed by what my body can achieve and I just strive to make it stronger and push myself to see what I am capable of.

[fusion_text]“This month has been fantastic, as always the workouts change and the superset workouts were a real challenge but I enjoyed the lighter element, it seemed to give me real energy for the strength workouts and I hit new PR’s every week! HIIT has been added as well this month and although I wasn’t looking forward to doing it I’ve actually really enjoyed them! I’ve done something different each time, I get up and get mine done early and it really sets me up for the day! The changes in my body this month have been amazing I’m the leanest I’ve ever been and I’m just amazed by how much my body’s changed! [fusion_text]“I can honestly say, this month has been my favourite. It’s been full of great workouts and I find knowing that the finish line is in sight great motivation to really push myself. I’ve missed my cardio, so adding in HIIT has been a great addition to the training sessions. I’ve avoided stepping on the scales this month too, trying to concentrate on what I see in the mirror rather than the number on the scales, and I’m feeling so much happier about myself, feeling trimmer, tighter, leaner (with some mean butt gains which is always a plus!!) I even fit into a figure hugging dress that I got for Christmas and have never worn with no need for the scary tummy-control/Bridget Jones pants!
“With just a month to go, I am really focussing in on my nutrition. Starting a new job and deadlines coming out of my ears has meant that I’ve one or two too many treats these month (including a night involving tequila!). [fusion_text]“I found month four quite tough, despite eating less I found myself feeling really bloated for no reason and didn’t seem to have any strength for my workouts, however the last week of the month it all seemed to come together. I felt stronger than ever and finished all my workouts on a high and I feel the most lean I’ve ever been.

I felt I had hit a plateau at the end of month 3, and with the start of the push/pull workouts, I wasn’t sure if I was making as much progress as I wanted to, but I’ve started a new job, moved house and found an amazing new 24hr gym, meaning there’s no excuses to not hit it hard and lifting heavier weights than I have before.
I’m feeling trimmer, my clothes are fitting better or are too big, my abs are beginning to make an appearance which is something I’ve never had, and my thighs and bum are much tighter. All this, and the number on the scales has barely changed which goes to show it’s not all about how much you weigh! Now with the addition of HIIT this month, and still 2 months to go, this is gonna be one hell of a ride to the finish!

[fusion_text]”The more and more I’ve been progressing the happier I’ve been getting with myself, though belly fat is one of my main goals now! It is however very easy to become complacent as you’ve already come so far and you think, well I’ve already changed so much so I’m only going to give 50%.
“This happened a bit to me and i found myself really struggling with food. I was struggling to stick to my low calories and I was getting extremely bored with the same foods again and again! I’m generally an all or nothing kind of girl so if I was struggling with my food on a day i’d feel like giving up and just eating anything! As such my fat loss had stalled completely and I found that I wasn’t as happy and motivated! Because of this battle I decided to up my calories by a little, just enough to give me a little more play every day and now I have done this, I feel motivated again and I have started to loose weight again!
“I often worry about odd days of ‘bad eating’ and feeling so guilty afterwards, but I have to remind myself of a few things:
To move on and accept what has happened, don’t let it affect tomorrow’s, next weeks food routine.
Also, when I’ve been eating ‘badly’, the reality often is that I’ve eaten a normal meal and just haven’t stuck to my macros. It’s not as if I’ve eaten a loaf of bread and a whole chocolate cake! I think this is a really important point to remember too!!
“Back onto the bikini plan month 4, I’ve really been enjoying the HITT sessions after my workouts and the addition of the new Facebook group is FANTASTIC motivation and a place to properly chat to other people on the plans, sharing recipes, advice, successes, failures! Many of us synching Instagram, fitbit trackers, food diaries too, It’s great!

[fusion_text]“Absolutely loving the programme 4 months in. Normally at this point in a programme I start to get bored and distracted and fall off the wagon, but not with this programme! I love that the workouts change regularly and just as you get used to a number of sets, reps and exercises everything gets shaken up! It also means I look forward to every session rather than seeing them as a chore.
“My strength has improved vastly which is great! Hitting regular PBs including a 100kg squat for 3 reps a few weeks ago, which for me is a huge achievement!

[fusion_text]“I really enjoyed month 4 and getting back into the push/ pull workouts which I personally find more fun, My strength keeps increasing and I can now do clapping push ups! Romanian deadlift my body weight, chest press 40kg and as a result my body has completely changed shape from January which is really making me feel a lot more body confident… the best thing is that there is still two months to go! I can’t wait to smash this months pyramid workouts they look a killer and a real test of endurance! Decreasing the cals by 100cals a week makes cutting down a lot easier than I thought it would be and I can still have the odd naughty thing that I want as a treat and fit it into my macros! After trying many fad diets (including just eating protein for a week) #TeamTEG is definitely the way to go for results you can keep seeing!”[/fusion_text]

The whole 4 months has been easy and simple to follow with Ben and Rob answering any question you have. [fusion_text]“With month four, I had to cut back on the gym a bit because I was running a marathon midway through the month. I cut the sessions down from the planned four to either two or three for a few weeks depending on my running schedule. The week leading up to the race I did not go at all. Luckily, it was contrast week so I got to enjoy mixing it up a bit with some swimming and yoga. Rob and Ben helped me with my pre race nutrition so that I would be able to run my race with a full tank but not eat too much to be detrimental to progress.
“I found that my legs and ass had gained so much strength that hills became easy. The gym programme really complimented the running that I was doing. It helped me to resculpt my body into a shape that meant I was lean enough to make my way round the course without walking.
“I am looking forward to putting some cardio into the plan and to seeing what I look like by the end of the six months. Can’t believe we have finished month four already; time has flown! I have really enjoyed the variety so far and I look forward to going to the gym. Before I started the challenge it was a chore but now it is something I look forward to and has become routine. Thank you for making me love my body, not be scared of food and for helping me do my marathon.

I used to go to the gym and avoid the weights area because it was just full of blokes and I thought I’d make a fool of myself!
“Anyhow! I’ve REALLLY been enjoying the programme and I look forward to going to the gym and doing my workouts. I’m proud of how far I’ve come so far and it’s really pleasing to tell people that I do lots of weights (I think I’m rivalling some of the guys at work now haha)! It’s also nice to tell people that I’m not on a stupid diet where I can’t have this and I can’t have that! If I want a treat, I have one, I just make sure I’m moderate!

I have an at home multi gym that I use and so can’t always do all of the exercises that are set but with the new plan different options are given so you are still working the same muscles but just with a different move, this means there is always something I can substitute it with.
“The routines are always changing and keeping my body guessing, before the plan I was just doing the same moves every week and just training a different body part on that day, now it’s all over every session which means I no longer have to wait for leg day, it’s always leg day haha!
“I have still been following the workouts and the nutrition 100% and even though this month I’ve had more social events and been on holiday I’ve still managed to stick to my plan by being prepared and organised and I literally love doing it!

[fusion_text]”I have been in one of the biggest limbos of what is right and what my goals are for the past two years. I was the type of person that went to the gym but lifted very little, and my cardio was always running on the treadmill or running outside for no more than 3 miles. It was always that consistency and never any changes to increase or push myself further. And I always ate healthy, but I never kept track and if I did it was always just my calories!

[fusion_text]”I’m a uni student and this month has been extremely stressful for me all my deadlines have needed to be handed in, I’ve had placement two days a week in the middle of no where with no car and the same amount of lectures still that I had before placement started.
“I would normally put on about 10lbs in exam periods and stressful times at uni however I stuck to the TEG nutrition and workout plans this month and although I messaged the guys mid-month worrying that I had plateaued on my strength and results in the mirror as soon as I handed in my deadlines I beat all my Personal bests in the gym that week and saw a big difference in the mirror in two weeks.
“So although I struggled with this month, in the end the German Volume Training did wonders for my strength and I can now do up to 8 chins and romanian deadlift my own body-weight! I couldn’t even pull myself up to a chin or do a full set of romanian deadlifts on just the bar back in Jan.
“I can honestly say I am loving the plan! I get excited about the new workouts each month which keep me motivated and I’m really starting to see some results in the mirror. I can finally say that I am happy with my body and feeling a lot more body confident. I’ve still got room for improvement though and my new aim is to get a six pack popping and to keep working on my strength as I’m running Tough Mudder this year so I’ll be needing all the strength I can get!”[/fusion_text]
