This clean eating Nutella recipe is super easy – it requires no prep whatsoever. You just throw a few ingredients into a food processor and you’re only minutes away from guilt-free chocolatey deliciousness.
Nutella is a chocolate lover’s dream – rich, creamy, and oh so delicious. Advertisers market Nutella as healthy, touting it as being chock full of good for you ingredients like hazelnuts and skim milk, but they neglect to mention all the added sugar, oils, and preservatives that takes this treat from wholesome to junk food. Taking a quick look at the ingredients list on the jar of Nutella reveals that sugar is first, meaning there is more sugar in store-bought Nutella than there are hazelnuts! The good news for chocolate-loving fitness foodies is you can easily make your own clean eating Nutella.
Even better news for the chocolate lovers out there: this homemade clean eating Nutella actually has health benefits beyond the good mood that comes from eating chocolate. Dark chocolate packs in tons of antioxidants, making it a powerful cancer fighter, and hazelnuts are full of heart healthy unsaturated fats. Additionally, they are a great source of magnesium, which aids with muscle recovery, and vitamin E too.
This homemade clean eating Nutella tastes great spread on whole wheat toast, on rice cakes, with fruit dipped into it, or just licked straight off the spoon if you need a quick fix for your sweet tooth.

Method
Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor and pulse until the mixture reaches your desired texture. Store in an airtight jar in the fridge. It’s best to consume this tasty treat within a couple of weeks, but we doubt it will stay around for that long!
For a chunkier texture, use less coconut oil and pulse just until the mixture comes together.
For a smoother texture, use 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and pulse until the hazelnuts are smooth. The pulse time will vary based on your food processor.
